Rankin Holmes - Co-Director/GIS
Analyst
Rankin Holmes received his B.S. in Forestry and is completing his
Master's degree in Geography at the University of Montana, with an
emphasis on GIS spatial analysis and conservation mapping. He
coordinates the work of our International Program and manages GIS
training seminars and intern instruction. In addition to his work with
our International Program, he oversees the conservation work of our
Montana GIS lab, which provides technical assistance to more than 30
regional conservation organizations in the U.S. and Canada.

Bill Haskins
- Co-Director/GIS
Analyst
Bill Haskins received B.S. with Highest Distinction in Ecology,
Morphology and Systematics from the University of Nebraska. He received
an M.S. degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana.
Haskins has spent the last 10 years helping to develop geographic
information system computer mapping capabilities in the non-profit
sector, and has helped a wide range of conservation-oriented groups and
individuals make use of GIS in conservation-related planning,
litigation, and outreach.
Alexander
Yumakaev - International Program Liaison
Alexander Yumakaev is an independent scientist and conservationist
active in biodiversity protection efforts in the Altai region of
Russia.
He holds an M.S. in computer programming and worked for many years as
the GIS specialist for the NGO Fund for 21st Century Altai. He now
provides GIS trainings and consults for many conservation NGOs in the
Altai and Yakutsk regions. He is active in the Russian Society for
Conservation GIS and works in close contact with American organizers of
the International SCGIS.
